AI Game Development
We build the AI inside games — believable NPCs, procedural levels and adaptive difficulty — and apply machine learning to player data to improve retention, balance and monetisation.
AI that makes games better to play
Good game AI is judged by the player, not the algorithm: enemies that flank and retreat, companions that feel aware, levels that never repeat and difficulty that adapts to skill.
We combine proven techniques — behaviour trees, utility AI, navigation and procedural generation — with machine-learning and LLM tools where they add real value, keeping running costs, latency and content safety under control.
- Behaviour trees, GOAP & utility AI
- LLM-driven dialogue with guardrails
- Procedural levels, loot & quests
- Churn prediction & dynamic difficulty
What we build
Our AI in Games services
NPC & enemy AI
Perception, navigation, combat tactics and squad behaviour with behaviour trees, state machines, GOAP and utility AI.
Conversational characters
LLM-powered NPC dialogue with memory, personas and safety filters, tuned for latency and running cost.
Procedural content generation
Levels, dungeons, terrain, loot and quests generated from rules and seeds — with designers kept in control.
Adaptive difficulty
Systems that read player skill and adjust challenge, pacing and rewards to keep every session in the flow zone.
Player analytics & ML
Churn and spend prediction, segmentation and experiment analysis that feed LiveOps decisions.
AI-assisted pipelines
Tools that speed up testing, localisation and asset workflows, with human review built in.
Our AI in Games process
Clear stages, visible progress and a playable build every week — no black boxes.
Discover
Goals, audience, platforms and budget turned into a clear scope, plan and estimate.
Scope · Estimate · RoadmapPrototype
A playable prototype that proves the core loop or key interaction before full production.
Playable prototypeProduce
Agile sprints with a playable build every week — art, code and design moving together.
Weekly buildsTest & launch
Real-device QA, optimisation and store submission, rehearsed well before launch day.
QA report · ReleaseGrow
LiveOps, updates and analytics — or a clean, documented handover to your team.

Can NPCs use large language models?
Yes — for dialogue and reactive characters. We add guardrails, caching and fallbacks so responses stay on-brand, fast and affordable at scale.
Do you use generative AI for game art?
Only where you approve it and the licensing is clear. Most of our AI work is gameplay AI and analytics; final art is created and reviewed by our artists.
Will AI make the game harder to maintain?
Not when it is designed well. We build AI with debug views and designer-facing parameters, so your team can tune behaviour without rewriting code.
Which engines do you use for game AI?
Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot, plus server-side services for LLM and analytics features.
